Harvesting olives

Spain is the world's largest producer of olive oil, much of which is shipped in bulk to Italy for re-packaging into "Italian" olive oil! (Italians only need their oil to be 40% Italian content to label it “Italian”)

Every country has its own idea of how the perfect oil should taste. The Greeks like their oil sharp and green, for example - but the Spanish like theirs more golden, and smooth on the palate.
